Paul Pines

Daniel Asia

Daniel Asia has been the recipient of the most competitive grants and fellowships in music. He has collaborated with Paul Pines on the Recording "Pines Songs," which consists of five settings of poems and two optional instrumental interludes. Paul Pines has just finished an opera libretto based on his novel, The Tin Angel, for which Daniel Asia will compose the music. He is also setting Paul Pines poems in a symphony commissioned by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra to be performed in 2008.

Curbstone Press

Curbstone Press, is a non-profit literary arts organization founded in 1975. Throughout its history, Curbstone has nurtured creative literature that invites readers to examine social issues, encourages a deeper understanding between cultures, and reflects a commitment to promoting human rights. Among their offerings in fall 2007 is Paul Pines memoir, My Brother's Madness.

Paul Brantley is a widely performed composer of orchestra, chamber, vocal and theatre music. Paul Brantley has set several of Paul Pines poems to music along with the verses of Rilke.

Rochelle Ratner

Rochelle Ratner began writing poetry as a high school student and continued writing in isolation for the next five years. In the fall of 1969, shortly before her 21st birthday, she moved to New York City and, for the first time, had exposure to poetry workshops and the first-hand critiques of her contemporaries. Her first volume of poetry, A Birthday of Waters, was published in 1971.
